It's no secret that lifestyle newborn sessions are one of my favorite types of sessions, but I absolutely love it when I get to go into a family's home right after baby has arrived and document those first moments as a new family. Baby Lucas arrived on Christmas Day -- what a wonderful Christmas gift!
This gorgeous family made my job so easy! I absolutely love lifestyle newborn photo sessions -- the sweet freshness of a newborn baby and the happiness that new little baby brings to the lives of everyone it surrounds is such a precious moment in time to capture.
This lovely couple welcomed a very precious little bundle this year and I was so grateful to have photographed him (and his parents) when he was just a few days old. Lifestyle photography is something I really love so when these three opted to add lifestyle shots to their posed newborn session, I was thrilled! There is something so lovely about photographing a family when they have a brand new, fresh baby. So much snuggling and coziness all around. Congrats Bishop family!
I was fortunate enough to photograph baby Leighlyn's mom and dad during their maternity session and also had the incredible opportunity to photograph baby Leighlyn's arrival into the world. It sure was a joy to see her again during her newborn session. She is the most mellow and beautiful baby and I think I know where she gets it from. Congrats to this beautiful new family of three!

It was a treat to photography baby Grayson in more of a lifestyle setting for his newborn photos! I just love the natural light and cozy, nursery setting for newborn photos. Grayson is a mellow and totally sweet baby and I must say - was crazy about the camera! He had so much interest in what was going on and followed the camera with his eyes the entire session - so adorable! Enjoy a few of my favorites below!
During a trip back to North Dakota I had the wonderful opportunity to meet baby Miller (aka Millie) just a few days after she was born! She is quite honestly one of the sweetest and most mellow babies I have ever met. Her brother Jack was our big "helper" and I can already tell he's going to be an awesome big brother to his little sister. I just love photographing children in their natural environments using natural light, so most of this session was spent in Miller's nursery. She's just as sweet as can be and her big brother Jack is equally adorable. Enjoy some of my faves below!
Baby Mia was a fresh 2 days old when she made her "modeling" debut! She was as sweet as she looks and my guess is she gets her chill, mellow personality from her parents (first time parents by the way!)
